“I am not a Daley guy,” he said. “I am not a yes man. I am not a rubber stamp.”

John Quinn is running for alderman of the 41st Ward.  At one time, John Quinn was the City’s Chief Zoning Inspector.  He was fired during one of the many corruption scandals that plague this burg.

He was one of the many soldiers in the machine that kept electing Daley over and over again.  He was tied to an employee list that convicted patronage chief Robert Sorich compiled.  He was also tied to one of Daley’s cabinet members who ran election activities for the mayor.

Now, he is running as an independent.  No rubber stamp he.  No yes man.  Of course he is not a Daley guy either- not anymore since Daley fired him.

For fourteen years as a city employee, he was a Daley guy, a yes man, and a rubber stamp.  Now he is trying to convince people he is none of the above.  Who is he kidding?

Quinn is just another machine hack.  A patronage flunkie.  A gofer.  He would probably make a perfect alderman.
