Sunday hits

As claimed yesterday by Russ Stewart, the NW Side members of the Democratic Machine have decided to back Rahm Emanuel for mayor.  He is their consensus choice.  The Lakefront Machine will fall into line next.  Now, a group of so called African American leaders- Black Democratic Machine members- have picked their consensus choice- Danny Davis- to run for mayor.  Isn’t it nice to live in a city where only one party gets to make choices for you?  Welcome to the United Soviet Socialist Republic of Chicago.

Governor Quinn claims his one half of one percent win is a landslide victory and a mandate to raise taxes.  Since when is .05% a landslide or mandate?  He may be the governor with a heart, but he left his brain in the Yellow Brick Road.

The food police are at it again.  From Frisco to the Big Apple, they want to ban or tax everything that they claim is bad for us.  You can fight back by joining Americans Against Food Taxes.  Let’s keep the government out of our bodies.  It is all about choice.

Ryno- Ryne Sandberg is leaving the Cubs.  I guess he did not like being passed over for manager and Iowa is boring.

This past week a Chicago Police Officer saved an infant using CPR.  Kudos and hats off to him.

The cost of the Thanksgiving Day meal will be higher this year, according to various reports.  Food prices and commodities are rising.  Top that off with the timing of your property tax bill- two months late.  Thank you to the Democratic Machine.  Their crooks had to win, so they purposely delayed the bills and increases to Thanksgiving week.  Bills are due right before Christmas.  It appears we will have to make some choices.  Pay the property taxes and forgo Christmas and Thanksgiving, or lose our homes.  There is a better choice.  When the various religious, community, and political groups who represent the entitlement people start handing out the free groceries for Turkey Day or free Christmas gifts, we should all get in line.  It is about time we took from them, instead of the other way around.
