First it was a “new direction”  In 2006 this is what the Democrats promised.  A nebulous phrase that gave them a victory.  Then “hope and change” came along, with “change you can believe in“.  More nebulous phrases.  People sucked them up, and gave the Democrats another and larger victory.

After their tribal victory dance and the obligatory trip to Disney world, they got down to the nuts and bolts of governing.  They passed boat anchor weight nebulous reform bills that reformed nothing, but would cost trillions to impose.  They even gleefully promised to raise taxes and make everyone share the pain equally.  They believed people would jump for joy over this.  People got out their Constitutions.

Then, Joe Biden and others had a new message to convince and fire up the public.  Paying more and higher taxes was the patriotic thing to do.  People got out their American flags.  Yep, stars, not dollar signs.  The people got mad.

The leaders did not listen.  Like scolding, shrill parents, they told us we were ungrateful for all the damage they were doing.  People started to get fearful and a loathing of the government crept in.

People realized that nebulous phrases, messages and campaign conversations translate into horrendous government policy and governance.  Within in a short period of time people realized that slick spoken fellers and glib gals do not a government make.  But it was useless.  The more the people said no, the more Utopian damage the government did.  The people were treated like ungrateful louts.  The name calling began.

Commonsense turned into extremism.  Parsimony turned into radical ideas.  The creation of wealth- the American Dream- turned into anti-government anarchy.  The people were labeled as the enemy.  Especially those who still had jobs and barely, but bitterly, clung to their homes.

Hence, the Republican resurgence.  The president and Democrats are still espousing nebulism as a political philosophy.  Keep hope alive, keep the change, keep the movement going.

That is, when they are not spewing carefully crafted hate speech and slogans.  You see, like all con men and grifters, they must keep the con going as long as possible until there is nothing left.  Then they disappear.  So they attack anyone who sheds truth to their frauds.

On Tuesday you have a choice.  You can vote to keep the nebulous con men and grifters in power.  Or, you can expose them for the frauds they are and vote them out.  Let them take all their hope, change, movements, and directions into the unemployment line.  If you feel sorry for them, you can help them fill out the forms.  Or give them a cardboard sign and directions to a highway ramp.
