Reverend Kool Aid

The right Reverend Jesse Jackson has drunk deep from the Kool Aid pitcher and donned his tinfoil fedora.  In his comics column in the Sun Times he tries to make the distinction between the Democrats and the Republicans.

Reverend Kool Aid

The usual meme- the GOP is funded by secret money through a mysterious cabal of people who seek world domination.  The Republicans will cut programs for the most needy, while preserving those for Big Oil- the enemy of the universe.  Blah, Blah, Blah.
But one line tells us that Jackson has drunk very very deep from the pitcher.  He has even licked the inside of the packet.  We should now call him Reverend Kool Aid.

“We have the worst inequality in U.S. history, with 1 percent of the wealthiest people capturing a staggering one-third of the income gains of the last years.”

He is talking about the false, dishonest, fake, and phony concept of income inequality.   Income is what one earns through work.  It is based on how much work you do and how much responsibility you take on.  People choose to take advantage of the equal opportunity afforded to all of us, acting on it, and working hard to achieve success.  Just like the reverend Jackson did.  Wealth or high income is not based on government handouts, false redistribution plans, or government financing the failures of the past.

There is so such thing as income equality.  There is no such thing as income inequality.  There is only choice.  You choose to work, save, invest, and create a higher income for yourself- even wealth if you are really talented or lucky.  Or you stay in the same entry level position, or worse, barely survive on food stamps, unemployment, or welfare.

You choose to use whatever talents you have to move higher up the income chain.  Or you choose to say on the bottom, feeding off the public trough.  It is an individual choice.  This country was founded on a principle of rewarding hard work and punishing sloth.

The Democrats want to punish success and reward sloth.  That is why this election is one of choice.  You can choose welfare checks, unemployment checks, and food stamps- the Democrats.  Or you can choose paychecks, business opportunities, and investing- the Republicans.

Reverend Kool Aid should be ashamed of himself.  He knows his only appeal is to the uneducated, the poor, and the mentally unstable leftwing fringe.  He shamelessly takes advantage of their lack of knowledge, mental instability, and peddles wild conspiracy theories.

He has spent a life time doing this.  Unfortunately he has been supported by some very successful people.  People who should know better.
