Could Chicago possibly have a Republican mayor? Could we finally break the criminal cycle of corruption, pay to play politics, the friends and family plan, and the continuous scandals plaguing our city? Could we end the 500 million dollars a year of waste, fraud, corruption, and mismanagement?
Could we elect a mayor who will treat the pestilence of corruption like vermin- exterminating it.
Mayor Richard M. Daley is stepping down. Besides being the mayor, Daley is the head of the Democratic Party. Joe The Lobster Berrios is just his powerless puppet. Daley does all the barking and biting. Joe the Lobster is content to just get rich.
Chicago is the most Democratic city in America. Even many good Republicans support and vote Democrat for mayor and aldermen. The Democrats have a highly organized field army to get people to the polls to do their bidding. They also have the ability to keep anyone they want off the ballot. But, they are leaderless now. Daley is a lame duck. All quack. The party has no chief. They will be fighting over who takes over for a while.
So far, all the leading names being bandied about are corrupt criminal Democrats; Rahm Emanuel, Luis Gutierrez, Miguel Del Valle, Ricky Hendon, Danny Davis, Ed Burke, etc. Others, like Gary Chico are products or beneficiaries of the corrupt machine. All political whores.
Supposedly, the elections are non-partisan. Non-partisan is what the Democrats say it is. In reality, the purity of the definition is lost. Non-partisan means Democrats period- except for one ward. Could a known Republican run? Are the voters really as fed up as some claim they are? Will the pseudo lake front liberal reformers vote for reform, for once in their phony lives? Can Republicans capitalize on the dissatisfaction and disaffection the voters supposedly feel? Can a message of reform resonate with an apathetic electorate?
The Democrats have ruined this city. The city is a facade, like a primping prostitute under a street lamp at 4AM trolling for drunks. It is just a facade; a titillating trollop, a painted lady, an oily mouthed strumpet, a perfumed pig with lipstick on. Underneath the makeup, perfume, and lipstick is the stench, reek, and ugliness of corruption and criminality. Democrats give street street walkers a good name.
So, could a serious GOP candidate run and become mayor of Chicago? We owe it to ourselves to find out. There is a way to field an army- a disciplined army. There are ways to get financing. There are a few well known Republicans living in this burg. One just has to step up to the plate.
It is time to get serious about this. Chicago can no longer afford the same type of criminally corrupt government. Eighty plus years is long enough.
