Daley also said he was envious of all the money being spent on construction projects in China.
“They are building rail, ports, airports, all types of infrastructure in the country.,” he said. “They are building huge technology parks, industrial parks.”
He added: “They are putting people back to work. Their industrial revolution is taking place. Ours took place in the 1890s and last century. Theirs is taking place now. They are building their middle class the way we built our middle class. The same way, exactly the same way, but with more technology than we’ve ever seen before.”
Maybe Daley should ask why? He would be shocked at the answers. China, though it has a totalitarian government, has created a business and industry friendly environment and a strong commercial infrastructure. The United States, meanwhile, has created a toxic business environment and the business infrastructure is gone.
China is positioning itself to be the economic engine of the world, while the United States is positioning itself to be a second rate country and apologizing for our former superiority. We have a post American president and a soon the post American era will begin.
China is putting people back to work. Obama is keeping people on unemployment. China is building. Businesses and banks here are hording cash due to uncertainty- they do not know what the government is going to do next to make it harder on them. China is having an industrial revolution. Industry is almost dead in America. China does things to let businesses thrive. The United States does things to businesses. China has a favorable business tax structure. The U.S., forget about it.
China is building a middle class. Our president and government are destroying the middle class. They are using technology- our technology- to prosper. It is no secret the finest tech minds in America have contracted with China- there is no money for them here.
For decades we told the Chinese to scrap communism and institute capitalism. They are doing it on a grand scale and at hyper speed. We, on the other hand, are devolving into a collectivist economy with an increase in government jobs and a continuing sharp decline in private sector jobs. Industry, manufacturing, and the commercial interests that bolster them are dying or being shipped overseas.
Daley should use what is left of his bully pulpit to tell his precious Democrats they are killing our country. It is not too late. There is no reason why we could not have another industrial revolution. Everyone knows what has to happen. No one has the political will or courage to make it happen.
