R-E-S-P-E-C-T what?

“U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) said Tuesday he is “deeply sorry” for having “disappointed some supporters” regarding his relationship with a female “social acquaintance.”

“The reference to a social acquaintance is a private and personal matter between me and my wife that was handled some time ago,” Jackson said in his statement. “I ask that you respect our privacy.

“Today’s disclosure, one that my family and I have been privately addressing for several months, is a very private, painful and unfortunate situation. Therefore, I would hope that the public will respect our ongoing personal handling and healing from this matter,” she said in the statement. (Sandi Jackson)

Junior is sorry for disappointing his supporters?  What about disappointing his wife?  His kids?  Or are there no public mea culpas for that.  “Social acquaintance”?  How about girlfriend, mistress, bimbo, kept woman, bed buddy, goomad, or gal pal.  Or is “social acquaintance” the new politically correct and politically palatable term for your on the side affair.

While his wife was working a minimum wage part time job- Chicago Alderman- trying to make ends meet, pay the bills, and raise the kids, Junior was flying the blonde bombshell bimbo around the country for trysts.

Why should we respect their privacy?  Junior is an elected public official.  His wife is an elected public official.  They are very public people.. They have no privacy!  Evidently Junior, like his father, and many powerful people before him, had a bimbo moment.  He got caught.  His wife is hurt and mad.  Too bad.  No pity.  What about content of character and all that?  Or is that just lip service?  We, who pay his salary have a right to know.  His family is irrelevant.

If he were a Republican, there would be calls for his head.  Howls for investigations, media outcry, demands he resign.  There would be all kinds of true and untrue stories- sordid stories.  There would be a total lack of respect for privacy.  But Dems can do as they please and demand- actually demand- their privacy be respected!  Talk about hypocritical hubris.  They can go on like nothing happened.  To them, it is just business as usual.  Ask Bill Clinton.

Junior and Sandi, you are about to learn a very serious lesson.  What you and your ilk have done unto others is being done unto you.  Ask daddy.  He will tell you.  That is the Christian way.  The Golden Rule.

Junior, a bit of avuncular advice.  You should not wine and dine your blonde bombshell in Chicago Gold Coast restaurants.  You are not invisible, you know.  People do notice you and know who you are.  Tongues wag.  Eventually it would have all come out. You’re just lucky it wasn’t the Enquirer.
