Superintendent Fancy Pants explains the reason for murders

Weis has explained his reasons for, and response to, Murders in
a speech to the City Club, when he said, “… the reason we have
Murders in Chicago is because of violence…”  Brilliant. Only a
Mensa member could have arrived at [that].  He went on to say
“….we are going after violence.  If you’re a drug dealer and you’re
not shooting people, you’re not on our radar.”    Amazing !!!
The quote is from a letter written by retired Chief of Patrol James Maurer, responding to Lt. John Andrews critique of the Chicago Police Department.  Lt. Andrews is being charged with bringing discredit upon the Department because he published a damning critique on his personal blog.  The Maurer letter is eight pages long, but well worth reading.  You can read it here.
One has to love Superintendent Fancy Pants explanation for murders- violence!  He sounds just like that dunce, Alderman Bernie Stone; who stated that if you commit suicide it will kill you.  Only armed and murderous drug dealers are on the Department’s radar?  I guess unarmed drug dealers are now allowed.

As a retired Police Officer, I am disgusted and saddened by the sorry state of the Chicago Police Department.  Superintendent Fancy Pants is a disgrace and a discredit to the law enforcement profession.   Like the mayor and the aldermen, he is nothing but a mumbling stumbling bumbler.

Now we know why Mayor Malaprop hired Fancy Pants.  The mayor wanted someone who is dumber than an Alderman.
