Joe the Lobster- Real Democratic Credentials

Joe Berrios, the Democratic nominee for Cook County assessor, is brushing off the 90,000 petition signatures that his independent challenger, county Commissioner Forrest Claypool, had turned in. Berrios’ claims that Claypool will be undone by his own uncertain Democratic Party credentials. Berrios adamantly states Claypool is not a real Democrat.

What election is Joe Berrios running in?  Forrest Claypool is not running as a Democrat.  He is running as an Independent.  But, one can understand Joe the Lobster’s confusion.  Joe Berrios is running as a real Democrat.  He is corrupt, unethical, and is the leader of the Cook County Democratic party, the largest politically corrupt criminal enterprise in the country.

His pronouncements are real distractions from the issues.  Of course Berrios has real Democratic credentials.  He is corrupt, devoid of ethics, and is a living breathing example of conflicts of interests across the board. Berrios is doing nothing more than distorting and manipulating the truth.  He complains the campaign is not centered on the issues, but on him.  Of course it is.  He and his corrupt and unethical practices are the issues.

He is also ignoring the Republican candidate for Cook County Assessor- Sharon Strobeck-Eckersal.  She is running a campaign on her credentials as an actual property tax assessor.  The race is going to get interesting as we move into the full campaign season.  The question to be asked- is Chicago and Cook County finally ready for reform?  Or are they going to elect Joe the Lobster, another corrupt Democrat?
