Finally, after six years and untold amounts of money, the Chicago City Council approved the building of a Wal-Mart in the Pullman neighborhood. This is an example of a gross and egregious abuse of aldermanic privileges. It is a disgrace. It demonstrates our aldermen are only concerned about lining their campaign coffers with money. They care not about people. They do not care if people have places to shop. They do not care if people have jobs in their own communities. They do not care if businesses open their doors in Chicago. They just do not care.
This travesty took six years because Wal-Mart refused to stoop to corruption. They did not spend millions of dollars buying aldermen like the unions did. Especially the SEIU. Wal-Mart tried to do things the right way. The honest way. The American way. Our Aldermen and their union allies do things like criminally corrupt Third World tyrannical nations. He who pays the most gets the most.
Mr. Mullany is right. There is much to do. We, the citizens have to do it. All the corrupt Democratic aldermen who opposed Wal-Mart for six years must be replaced. All thiose who voted for this with reluctance must be replaced. Better, let us just replace all 49 Democrats.
Too bad they cannot be indicted. But, we can vote them out of office. Let them brag how they are against jobs. Let them brag how they are against people having stores in their community. Let them brag how they took union bribes and how big their campaign coffers are.
We do not need these corrupt buffoons. Let us replace them with good, honest, and decent people. People who have honor and integrity. Yes, we have much to do. The nation is watching- so say the thieving aldermen. The nation is watching and waiting to see if the good citizens of this city have finally had enough of the arrogance and corruption of the Democratic party. The nation is watching to see if the citizens of Chicago have the will to end the criminal corruption of the Democratic Party.
Chicagoans should be ashamed and embarrassed to have such an arrogant callous governing body. The aldermen have no decency, no shame, no morals, no honor, and no integrity. The City Council is nothing more than a continuing criminal enterprise. No wonder businesses do not want to locate here or build plants here. If this keeps up, Chicago will be worse off than a Third World country.
